How do Appaloosa horses effect Nez Perce Tribe.
Response To Research Question

Appaloosa horses disappeared during the last ice age, than Spanish men found them and brought them to
different places around the world by boat.
The Appaloosa horses came to history arond the 1800.
The early development of this American breed of spotted horses is attributed to the Nez Perce
Indians, who inhabited the region bordering the Palouse River after which the horses were
named.
Appaloosa horses come in differant colours such as :
- Bay - Bright Bay - Bay Brown - Light Bay
- Chestnut - Black - Palomino
The main patterns are known as :
- Blanket - Spots - Leopard - Snowflake - Frost
They often have black and white markings on their feet.
The spotted gene in horses is as old as the equine race, but the credit fot the development of the horse goes to the Nez Perce
The height of an Appaloosa varies between 14.2 hh (hands height) and 15.2 hh.
The Appaloosa horses have hard hooves with vertical stripes.
They have a short mane and a short tail.
The Appaloosa is an ancient breed depicted in prehistoric cave paintings.
The Appaloosa Horse Club was formed in Idaho.
The result of the Nez Perce tribe's care was an unmistacable workhorse which was attractively colored
and essentially practical.
The Nez Perce tribe was in northern Idaho and northeastern Oregon,their territory was approximately
17 000 000 acres ( 69 000 km2)
The total population: 2700 people.
The Nez perce spoke English and Nez Perce.
Their religiouse views were Christianity.
Description Of Project
For our project, we will be building a game of Indian on Appaloosa Horses!
